Near & Far
by Michael Fracasso
Oh, there once was a man
Lost on an ocean
The sea was as black as his heart
And he drifted away
From love's sweet notion
Toward all that would tear him apart
The sky above him
Stood eternal
Like a mirror to his soul
And he reached inside
For truth and comfort
And found it was empty and cold
Oh save us
From our lonliness
And all we cannot forget
Her love is all
I'll ever know
Then one lonely night
He sank to the bottom
With the fish as green as moss
An angel caught him
Now all that is good is not lost
Oh save us
From our lonliness
And all we cannot forget
Her love is all
I'll ever know
