LaFave Song in Another Indie Film

Novemer '96 • Los Angeles, California

The song is "Hold On," and you've not yet heard it, but Rene Travis with Artists in Motion out in LA did. Having loved and helped to place it in the flick, she now ranks #1 in our our own "Music Biz Folks With Impeccable Taste" poll. Other artists whose music made the show include Bohemia Beat's own Abra Moore (yeah), The Tractors, The Badlees, and Severin Browne.

The movie stars Jon Cryer (remember Duckie from "Pretty In Pink?") and a great ensemble cast. It's a funny and touching story of five friends in their 20's and 30's wrestling with the fact that their lives haven't turned out quite the way they planned. Highlighting the filmaking team are writer-director Gary Leva and producers Nancy Joslin and Lulu Basking-Leva.

"Plan B" was shopped for major distribution at the Sundance Festival in early '97.

Eventually, the producers released it on their own, and it continues to reappear at film festivals today.
